Having spent the last 2 1/2 months either planning for a move or accomplishing a move, writing blog posts went on the back burner...
Writing poetry was packed away in the very bottom of a stack of boxes...
But now the boxes are unpacked, and there was a poem percolating...
Transcending the Ego on a Dublin Bus
Easy to imagine headline:
Young man assaulted on a Dublin Bus
A headline less commonly encountered:
Young man assaulted by by open and vulnerable self-reflection on a Dublin Bus
'To be honest with you, it was probably what I needed to hear'.
Young man exhibits evidence of fruitful engagement with therapy on a Dublin Bus.
'I had to get over my ego'.
Young man demonstrates high degree of emotional intelligence on a Dublin Bus
'We're trying to stay out of court'.
Young man expresses sense of personal responsibility on a Dublin Bus.
'I need to get me driving ban sorted out'.
Life,
under cover of gold and blue cladding,
cradles the miracle of every remarkable human story.

Having moved far away from a patterns that make for daily use of public transport, where am I going to find inspiration?!?
